Reclaiming Our Attention: Why Time & Space Is the Movement We Need Right Now

In today’s world, distraction has become the default.

From endless notifications and social media scrolling to constant emails, advertisements, and breaking news updates, we are living in a culture that is competing for our attention every second of the day. The modern digital landscape has connected us in incredible ways — yet many people feel more disconnected from themselves, nature, and meaningful human interaction than ever before.

That’s exactly why Time & Space feels so important right now.

Founded by Charlie Price, this growing movement is centered around helping people reclaim their most valuable assets: their time and attention.

I met Charlie in 2024 while we were working together leasing properties, and it quickly became clear that she is a true force. Her energy, intentionality, and vision are unlike anything I’ve encountered before. Charlie isn’t simply talking about digital wellness — she is actively creating spaces and experiences that help people reconnect with what makes us human.

At its core, Time & Space exists to challenge the culture of constant digital consumption.

Their mission is simple but powerful:

To help people create healthier relationships with technology, establish digital boundaries, reconnect with community, and become more present in their everyday lives.

In a world built around algorithms designed to capture dopamine and maximize screen time, that mission feels revolutionary.

Instead of endless scrolling, Time & Space encourages:

  • Presence
  • Conversation
  • Creativity
  • Play
  • Reflection
  • Community
  • Nature
  • Mindful living

It’s about creating moments where people can truly drop in and exist without the pressure of notifications and digital noise.

And honestly? Our communities need this more than ever.

As someone deeply involved in residential and community spaces, I see firsthand how disconnected people can feel despite living around hundreds of others. Residents are craving authentic interaction, wellness-centered experiences, and opportunities to slow down. Time & Space offers exactly that.

Upcoming Event at The Okami Collective: Airplane {Mode} Lounge

Time & Space is bringing this mission directly into our community with an exciting upcoming event at The Okami Collective inside Falls Center.

As we continue building communities centered around wellness, balance, and authentic connection, I truly believe movements like Time & Space are going to become increasingly important.

Technology itself is not the enemy. But learning how to intentionally engage with it — instead of being controlled by it — may become one of the most important skills of our generation.

And thanks to Charlie Price and Time & Space, that conversation is finally beginning in a meaningful way.
